After all the team awards were handed out, Emalee Doyle and Marcus MacLean were recognized as the top female and male athletes of the year. Doyle participated in rugby and soccer, while MacLean played basketball and crosscountry. "It means a lot to be recognized like this, but I have to thank my teammates and my coaches because they're the reason I won this," said MacLean. "Our coach helped us make videos to send to coaches and called the coaches for us,[url=http://www.sport.fr/sponsoring/uggpascher.html]ugg australia pas cher[/url]," said MacLean. "They were interested after they saw the videos I guess. I wouldn't have that kind of opportunity without the coaches I've had." Doyle will be traveling to Acadia in the fall where she will play with the women's soccer team in the keeper position. Her sister Leisha Doyle recently graduated from Acadia. She was the keeper on the women's soccer team for the past few years. "I got in contact through her with the coach and they wanted me to join their program," she said. "I have a training schedule to help me prepare for the adjustment to the AUS in the fall and then hopefully everything will just come naturally once I get there." |
